WEBMASTER'S SIDENOTE: the term "traction engine" typically refers to a steam-powered tractor. The term may be considered archaic at times, but it does tend to differentiate between steam-powered tractors, and later tractors which had internal combustion engines powered by various fuels such as gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel, etc.
